REQUIREMENTS:

  • Printed appointment notice for your consular interview.
  • Original valid passport.
  • Vaccination card and/or proof of received vaccines (optional).
  • If you are undergoing medical treatment, you may bring information about it.

Here, you will receive a data form to fill out and your turn to begin your consular medical exam.

GET READY FOR YOUR EXAMS

  • Remember to schedule your free transportation from your accommodation or the
airport to the clinic. Schedule transportation.
  • There’s no need to fast. We recommend having a light breakfast before your exams.
  • If you are taking any medication, do not stop it; it will not affect the results in any way.
  • Minors under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by one of their parents, guardians, or petitioners. If none of the aforementioned can accompany them, they need to present a notarized letter, signed and sealed.
  • We have free parking available.
  • We have a waiting room inside our facilities for your companions.

PROCESS

*Note: Vaccine costs are not included; they are charged separately from the medical exam.

RESULTS

Your consular medical exam results may be provided in two formats depending on the type of residency visa you are applying for:

  • IMMIGRANT VISAS: Results will not be given to you directly; we will send them electronically to the U.S. Consulate on the next business day after your exam.
  • FIANCÉ VISAS (K1, K2): You will be given a sealed black envelope — DO NOT OPEN IT! — and take it with you to your consular interview..

Remember: Both formats are valid and may vary depending on each applicant’s case.

Starting April 1, 2024, by order of the U.S. Consulate, all applicants aged 2 years and older will require a blood test for tuberculosis (IGRA).
